CICU Fractional Carbon Dioxide Laser

●What Does It Treat?
The CICU safely and effectively treats the following conditions:
Wrinkles and fine lines
Skin laxity
Scars including acne scars, chicken pox scars, and surgical scars.
Sun-damaged skin
Enlarged pores
Pigmented lesions such as liver spots, freckles, and melasma.
Textural irregularities
Stretch Marks

● Is the treatment painful?
The procedure is simple and convenient with minor discomfort. Our clinic uses an air chiller that cools the skin before, during and after treatment,
making the treatment tolerable to most patients with simple topical anesthesia. For sensitive individuals, sedative can be given to make the
treatment comfortable. Many patients describe the treatment as having a mild sunburn sensation.

● How long is the recovery time?
Social downtime ranges from 0 to 5 days, depending on the energy and density settings of the laser pixels.

●What is the recovery of typical patient like?
Immediately after the procedure, the face swells up slightly and appears somewhat red. Unlike with other fractional CO2 lasers, typically there is
no oozing. Patients notice immediate softening of wrinkles, fine lines and scars. Thousands of tiny white dots about the size of hair strand can
only be seen close-up. Swelling subsides in 1 to 2 hours. The white dots become darker and disappear by third or fourth day. Jane Iredale
makeup can be worn starting on the 2 days to cover up redness.

● How many treatments are needed?
The number of treatment varies patient to patient. Improvements are seen with the first treatment. Most patients require 1 to 5 treatment sessions,
spaced 3 to 4 weeks apart.

● How long is the treatment?
On the treatment day, the entire visit lasts about 2 to 3 hours. The actual procedure requires about 20 minutes.

Reduction of Enlarged Pore with CICU Fractional CO2 Laser
CICU boasts the smallest and most uniform laser pixels in the industry. The result is dramatic improvement in
comfort, safety, and recovery time. CICU treatment stimulates natural growth of new collagen that continues for up
to six months. Results of the treatment are long-lasting and with proper skin care can last for many years.

●How Does It Work?
The CICU creates thousands of tiny, microscopic pixels, spaced evenly across the skin and leaves healthy,
untreated skin between pixels. The microscopic pixels stimulate skin renewal and repair. The result is a tighter,
smoother, whiter, and more uniform appearance of skin.
